Mahatma Gandhiji Established Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha in the year 1918. The Main Moto behind this is to spread Hindi in Southern States like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala.
Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha conducting Lower Examinations like Parichay, Prathamic, Madhyama, Rashtrabhasha & Pravesika. Higher Examinations like Rashtrabhasha Visharad Poorvardh, Rashtrabhasha Visharad Uttarardh, Rashtrabhasha Praveen Poorvardh & Rashtrabhasha Praveen Uttarardh. Other courses like Hindi Pracharak Training, B.Ed., P.G. Diploma in Translation, M.A., M.Phil, Ph.D. By virtue of organizing all these courses, it propagates Hindi in Southern States.
The Parliament of Indian Government recognized the service rendered by the Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha and declared Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha as an Institution of National Importance by Act 14 of 1964. By virtue of this Sabha established Post Graduate & Research Centre and Sabha is also empowered to award Degree & Diploma to propagate Hindi in Southern States of India. Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Kerala four centers of State were permanent recognized.
